Pistoccheddu

Ingredients

500 g plain flour, 325 g granulated sugar,80 g lard, 4 eggs, half a glass of milk, juice of a lemon, baking powder, hundreds and thousands, salt.

Mix the flour, most of the sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Make a well in the centre and pour in 1 whole egg and 3 yolks, the lard and the lemon juice. Mix together until a soft dough is obtained for about 10 minutes, then roll out on a flat surface. Cut out the buiscuits with a cookie cutter and put them in the oven to 180° for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and brush them with a mixture made of egg whites and sugar. Sprinkle with hundreds and thousands and leave them to cool down.
