The Azienda Agricola was born in Alghero at the beginning of the last century, boasting of four generations of olive growers. Today, it is managed, with dedication and passion, directly from Giuseppe Fois and his family, personally following all the stages of processing, from cultivation to transformation.It has an extension of 200 hectares with about 25,000 olive trees, mainly of Bosana cultivars, supplemented by the presence of other native, native and native cultivars, with the aim of enhancing and enriching the organoleptic and quality characteristics of the oils produced.
The Olearia Academy Srl operates in a modern factory that insists on an area of ??more than 4 thousand square meters built with a special attention to the preservation of the environment with the use of alternative energy sources. It has a 60 kWh photovoltaic system that makes it completely self-sufficient in Ratio to electricity demand.The production of hot water and heating is guaranteed by a hazelnut boiler that uses the same scraps of olive processing. Its Extra Virgin Olive Oil is sold and distributed, in addition to domestic, in the major foreign markets; From Europe to Asia, from the United States to Japan, bringing the name of Alghero off the borders of the Island to represent the excellence of Sardinia's quality productions.
As far as certifications are concerned, the Olearia Academy has: a) A certified business management system UNI EN ISO 9000: 2008, (b) is BIO and JAS certified with ICEA, (c) manages olive groves, processing, storage and packaging according to the DOP SARDEGNA production specification.All oil movements are monitored and controlled in order to allow traceability of the entire production chain, from the production of olives and oil to the batch of the product being marketed.
