Ghénos is not a name chosen randomly, but it is one of the possible linguistic roots of Gonnosfanadiga, and in Greek it means "origin, lineage, birth, family". For me, a young farmer, it is a story of returning back to the origins, to the land and to the excellent Sardinian products, starting from the Extra Virgin Olive Oil which has been produced by my family for 4 generations in Gonnosfanadiga, Southern Sardinia, which has always been a town dedicated to olive growing.
Tenute Ghenos produces a blend of Nera di Gonnos, Nera di Villacidro, Bosana (all typical varieties of Sardinia), giving life to an oil with vegetal-herbaceous notes, excellent on bruschetta and sauces and on vegetables in general: salads, dipped vegetables , grilled, or soups and minestrone. Being medium intense, it is suitable for white meats, meat and fish carpaccio, first courses that are not too elaborate, without distorting or covering, but rather accentuating the taste of the dishes.Awarded as EVO oil at the Sardinia Food Awards 2024, your supply of taste in the 3 L can.
