Pastissus de Mendula or Pastina reale, is a typical Sardinian dessert, originally from the Campidano area, very refined in its appearance as it is decorated in a precious and elegant way and is one of the most popular desserts.It comes in various sizes and shapes depending on the area, it can be round, oval or heart-shaped, the base is created which represents a real "bowl" of pasta and lard in which the dough is subsequently inserted.
The dough is made with ALMONDS, EGGS, sugar and fresh lemon, its appearance is similar to sponge cake but with almonds, it has a very delicate and tasty taste.
Pastissus is a dessert that is prepared especially for great occasions such as weddings, baptisms, communions and confirmations precisely for their refined and elegant appearance but also for its goodness.
