Serving suggestions: the wine should be served at a temperature of 16-18°C in a wide goblet. It accompanies well important starters, tasty red meat, game and poultry.
General characteristics It has an intense ruby red colour with a fruity flavour . The aftertaste has a hint of liquerice. It´s an elegant, full-bodied wine.
Grapes used Carignano 100%.
Methods of production Location: Carignano vines of Santadi, cultivated in the south of Sulcis.The soil is sandy and clayey. The weather is dry and hot in summer; temperate in winter.The harvesting takes place at the end of september and it lasts for about two weeks. Afterwards, the must is kept to ferment in steel containers for 12-14 days at a temperature of 25-28°C. The next job is to pour off the wine into wooden casks for 10-12 months, during which its bouquet refines completely before bottling.
Preservation Keep the bottle horizontally in a dark and cool place at a temperature of 17°C ( humidity 75-80% ).
