This Cannonau is an " elegant prince ": it´s fine, full of body, with a powerful alcoholic strength; it´s obtained from the vines of Jerzu, lovely area of the island.
Serving suggestions: it´s suitable for tasty starters, game and roast meat. The wine has to be served at a temperature of 15-18°C. Open the bottle few hours before serving.
General characteristics: this wine has a ruby red colour with garnet reflections. It offers a lovely bouquet of spices, vanilla and cinnamon.
Grapes used: Cannonau, selected in the best vines of the " Poderi di Jerzu ".
Methods of production: Wine-making: the grapes are strictly selected and pressed softly in small boxes. The must obtained is fermented with local yeasts at a temperature of 17-20°C. Finally, the product is kept in steel containers and barriques for refinement.
Preservation: after one year of refinement in barriques ( 225 litres in one year ), the wine is kept in bottle for few months before selling.
