The " Papassinos Nieddos " are originating from Nule, near Sassari. Nule is about 700 metres above sea-level and it has only 1600 inhabitants. These people live only of agriculture and sheep-farming. The Papassinos Nieddos are well-known for their richness in taste and their softness.
They have a dark colour because of a variety of ingredients used: flour, mixed nuts, skinned almonds, raisins, sugar, butter or lard, egg yolks, orange or lemon peel. This recipe is, generally, made in occasion of All Saints Day. The buiscuits are very crispy when removed from the oven, to become softer after a few hours.
Ingredients: flour, eggs, sugar, jam, sultanas, milk, almonds, walnuts, lard, ammonia and natural aromas.
