The estate´s first wine is Isola di Nuraghi IGT Barrua 2002 a red blend of 85 percent Carignano, mainly from old vines, with 10 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and 5 percent Merlot.
It was aged 18 months in 60 percent new French oak and one year in bottle. Wonderfully crafted, Barrua shows pretty aromas of crushed berry, flowers and black licorice that follow through to a full-bodied palate, with ultra-refined tannins and a long finish.
