GRAPES: Cannonau – Carignano – Cabernet Sauvignon - Muristellu
GROWING AREA: estate of our own property named Juanni Solu, in the countryside of Arzachena.
GROUND: Made of crushed granitic stone, manured every two years with organic compost and worked by machine every spring and summer.
VINEYARD´S ALTITUDE: 150 m over sea-level.
PLANT SYSTEM: Espalier, Guyot.
WEATHER: Mediterranean, very windy and dry in summer.
HARVEST: manual, end of August to second week of September.
VINIFICATION: after a gentle stripping of the grape stalks, the skins macerate in must for about 3 weeks under controlled temperature.
AGEING: 12 months in barriques casks.
REFINING: 6 months in bottle.
COLOUR: very intense ruby red.
BOUQUET: full body wine. The bouquet is wide, intense and very persistent, with hints of ripe plum jam and vanilla notes.T
ASTE: dry, warm, with tannins well balanced along the palate.
FOOD MATCH: important wine for roasted and grilled meats, semi-hard cheeses.
