VERMENTINO DI GALLURA D.O.C.G. SUPERIORE

This is the flagship wine of the Tondini winery and its proudest expression. The name KARAGNANJ pays tribute to the village of Calangianus, as Karagnanj is its name in the Gallurese dialect.

Produced from a careful selection of 100% Vermentino grapes grown on the granite hills of Upper Gallura, in a unique and captivating natural setting, this wine displays a bright straw-yellow colour and an intense, enveloping bouquet with aromas of ripe yellow fruit and Mediterranean scrub. KARAGNANJ is dry, elegant, and perfectly balanced, with remarkable harmony between aromas and flavours. The winemaking process includes pre-fermentation skin maceration, followed by fermentation and ageing in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

Classification: Vermentino di Gallura D.O.C.G. Superiore.

Grape variety: 100% Vermentino.

Production area: San Leonardo, Calangianus, Sardinia.

Soil: Sandy, decomposed granite.

Harvest: Late September.

Vinification: Pre-fermentation skin maceration followed by temperature-controlled fermentation.

Ageing: In stainless steel tanks.

Colour: Bright straw yellow.

Aroma: Intense and enveloping, with notes of ripe yellow fruit and Mediterranean scrub.

Palate: Smooth, persistent, and exceptionally pleasant.

Recommended serving temperature: 12-13°C.

Food pairings: Excellent with refined seafood dishes, soups, and white meats.
