Myrtle liqueur obtained from the infusion of tender myrtle leaves and a sweet water-and-sugar syrup. Myrtle leaves are widely used in cooking, mainly to flavor roasts. In ancient Rome they were used to forge the crowns worn by Generals celebrating their victories. Thanks to its properties, it is an excellent digestif to enjoy after meals, ideally served at 2-4 °C. It is also excellent for preparing fresh cocktails, paired with herbs such as basil or mint.
Appearance: light in color with green-yellow highlights.
Aroma: on the nose it offers multiple fragrances; in addition to the strong presence of essential myrtle oil, other characteristic aromas of Mediterranean aromatic herbs can be perceived, such as thyme, bay, sage, rosemary, and mastic.
Taste: on the palate all these fragrances blend into an elegant myrtle embrace with an enveloping, engaging flavor and vegetal notes. A refined sweet-bitter interplay leads to an extremely delicate finish rich in Mediterranean echoes.
