In the area of Bonnanaro, in Meilogu, the Cannonauvine fully manifests its austere character. Our Monte Santu´s vineyard is inthe heart of the most devoted area for vineyards. This Cannonau is its mainexpression: fruity, soft, persuasive and silken, enriched by the aromas of cherishesand Mediterranean spices.
Appellation: Cannonau di Sardegna D.O.C.
Variety: Cannonau 100%
Vineyards: Planted on calcareous and basaltic soils placed at 500 m / above sea level,moderately loose-packed soil, plant density 5.500 stumps/ha.
Date Harvested: Starting from the second week of October.
Average yield per Hectare: 60 quintals per 42 hectolitres ofwine to refine
Vinification: Maceration of pressed grapes prolonged for 15/18days inside steelwine-makers, with thermal control. To follow many wine-racking up to refiningperiod.
Refining: 12 months in steel tanks and 12 months in 700 lt and 500 lt oakbarrels, followed by at least 6 months in the bottle.
Taste Analysis: Mogano is a complex, soft, ruby red wine. It smells of berriescombined with hints of herbs and spices; it´s warm, tasty and balanced.

Food Pairings: Cerasa is a delicious accompaniment to meat main courses.
